Day 5: Your Journey with the Great I Am

Day 5: Your Journey with the Great I Am
Reading:
Genesis 2:7
Then the Lord God formed a man[a] from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Ecclesiastes 12:7
and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
   and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Psalm 139:16
Your eyes saw my unformed body;
    all the days ordained for me were written in your book
    before one of them came to be.

Devotional: "Our journey started with God breathing breath into us, and it will eventually end with God taking our breath back." This profound truth frames your entire existence. You are not an accident; you are a divine creation with eternal purpose. The God who formed you in your mother's womb is the God of then, now, and forever. He hasn't changed. His plans for you haven't shifted. In every season, the mountaintops and valleys, the clarity and confusion, He remains constant. Your life is held between two divine breaths: the one that gave you life and the one that will welcome you home. Until that day, live fully alive in the presence of the Great I Am.

Reflection: How does knowing God holds your beginning and end impact how you live today?

Weekly Challenge: This week, set aside 15 minutes daily to simply be in God's presence without an agenda. Tell Him, "I just want You," and listen for His voice.
